Reform UK Northampton North Branch are pleased to announce that Peter York is
standing as election candidate for Moulton ward.
Introducing Peter York
Having grown up in Northampton, Peter has witnessed many changes — some positive and some less so.
Peter has worked in the building trade as a plasterer from the age of 15 until retirement at 65. Most of his career was spent in and around Northamptonshire, with the last 20 years spent as a self-employed tradesman.
Throughout Peter's life, he has also been involved in the community serving as a Youth Group Leader at Abington Community Centre and is currently the President of the Whyte Melville Bowling Club. Peter is an avid motorcyclist and a member of the Classic & Vintage Motorcycle Club.
Peter and his wife have been happily married for 54 years, and are blessed with two daughters and four grandchildren.
Known for having a calm, level-headed approach and a strong community spirit. Those who know Peter understand exactly what he stands for and how deeply he cares about Moulton and the surrounding areas.
Peter believes we need to review how council budgets are spent and find ways to redirect funds toward more effective uses, such as improving roads, waste management, and policing.
